This work serves as a tribute to my time residing in the 2011 postcode of inner-city Sydney. The individuals portrayed include family, friends, neighbours, and acquaintances with whom I connected—often through conversations sparked while taking my dog to the park or frequenting other local public spaces. My mixed-media practice originates from photography, which forms the basis for subsequent drawings, monoprints, and paintings in acrylic and/or oil. The final layers of my artworks are further enriched by the addition of tactile embroidery.
